Vitla: An auto driver sustained injuries after his autorickshaw hit the roadside barricades near the Kodangai bridge while trying to avoid hitting a mongoose here on Sunday, August 13.
The injured has been identified as Ismail (53), a resident of Mangalpadu.
The auto, which was proceeding towards Salethur went out of control and hit the iron railing on the roadside after the driver applied brakes suddenly as he noticed a mongoose crossing the road.
An injured Ismail was admitted to Vitla hospital
