Police: Mountiville man died at the scene
Emergency crews were called to the area of Route 30 West and Centerville Road around 10:30 Friday night for a single-vehicle crash with reported entrapment.
Police say first responders found a 2005 Honda Pilot on its roof, in the westbound lanes.
The only occupant, was 50-year-old Joel Eshleman from Mountville, was found dead inside the vehicle, according to police.
A witness to the crash said the vehicle was traveling West on Route 30, when it left the roadway, went up an embankment, then overturned multiple times before coming back down the embankment.
The Lancaster County Collision Reconstruction Unit conducted the on-scene investigation.
Police say the roadway reopened around 3 a.m. Saturday.
Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash are asked to contact East Hempfield Twp. Police Sgt. J.D. Sandman at 717-898-3103.
