UPDATE: Man identified who was killed in one-vehicle accident in McHenry County – KFYR

MCHENRY COUNTY, N.D. (KFYR) – UPDATE (12/16/23): The North Dakota Highway Patrol released an update identifying the driver of the garbage truck as Douglas Stewart.
The Patrol is still investigating the crash.
ORIGINAL STORY (12/15/23): A 69-year-old St. John man has died following a vehicle accident on Friday just before noon.
The man was driving a garbage truck westbound on Highway 2, about 13 miles west of Towner, when he entered the median.
Highway Patrol says the truck vaulted over a crossover and crossed back into the westbound lanes, where the vehicle landed in the north ditch.
He was pronounced dead on the scene. The crash report says he was not wearing a seatbelt.
The name of the driver has not yet been released.
