Two-vehicle accident claims life of Ridgeland woman – Bluffton Today

A Ridgeland woman died in a two-vehicle collision Aug. 29 outside of Ridgeland, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Jasmine Wright, 21, died on scene from her injuries, Jasper County Coroner Willie Aiken said.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the accident happened around 4:50 p.m. on Snake Road near Highway 170, which is approximately six miles east of Ridgeland.
Wright, driving a Toyota Camry, was traveling east on Snake Road when she lost control of her vehicle, traveled across the center line, and was struck by a Peterbilt trash truck, SCHP Master Trooper Gary Miller said. Miller said the driver of the truck did not have any passengers and was not injured in the accident.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol in investigating.
