Two Springfield teens died in a two-vehicle crash on Route 68 north of Springfield Friday afternoon.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that 17-year-old Taylor Haffner was driving her Honda Civic north on 68 when she went across the median and into the southbound lanes.
She then collided with a Hyundai Tuscan driven by Debra Knowles of Colorado.
Haffner and her passenger, 17-year-old Osman Diaz, both passed away from the accident.
Knowles and her passenger, Jodi Knowles, were both transported to Kettering Health Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The OHP was assisted at the scene by Springfield Township Fire & EMS, German Township Police Department, Springfield Police Department, Clark County Coroner’s Office, Ohio Department of Transportation, and Dan’s Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
