Two drivers died in a car crash early Friday morning in Utica, police said.
Police and fire department units were called to Culver Avenue at Lansing Street at 12:05 a.m., finding two people unresponsive after a two-car accident. A 21-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, and a 17-year-old man was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where he died of his injuries. Their identities will be released after families are notified.
The Utica Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team will be investigating the cause and specifics of the crash, and will release details once available.
