The A47 had significant delays this morning following a crash involving a tractor. The road was closed between Thorney and Guyhirn following the collision.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue rushed to the scene this morning and warned drivers to "avoid the area for now", adding that travellers should check traffic updates before heading out if leaving later as well..
Traffic monitoring service Inrix added: "The A47 is closed eastbound between Thorney and Guyhirn following an [road traffic collision]."

The road is now clear, after the earlier incident involving a HGV.
The road is now open. Cambridgeshire Constabulary wrote on Twitter at 1.30pm: " The A47 Thorney is now open and clear. Safe driving."
Traffic data company Inrix said, at the same time: "The A47 Wisbech Road Eastbound has re-opened and traffic has returned to normal."
Inrix, the traffic data company, said:
The A47 Wisbech Road Eastbound is closed with slow traffic, due to accident investigation work, from B1040 Station Road to New Cut Roundabout."
A spokesperson from Cambridgeshire Constabulary said:
We are currently at the scene of a collision on the A47 at Thorney involving a HGV. We were called at about 07.45pm today (21 August). Fire and ambulance are also at the scene. The road will remain closed while recovery takes place. No serious injuries have been reported at this time and, so far, our logs indicate no other vehicles were involved. "
Traffic is 'coping well' eastbound, along the A47 Wisbech Road, according to traffic data company Inrix.

A47 EBC between the Causeway and Station Road Thorney. Road currently closed due to incident. Please find alternative route at this time. We will keep you updated."
