A student involved in the accident suffered lacerations to the forehead area and was transported to Fairview Hospital.
Great Barrington — One student was injured in a three-car accident at the entrance of Monument Mountain High School on Monday, Feb. 27.
According to town Police Chief Paul Storti, the accident occurred at the entrance of the high school during the morning hours.
In an email to The Berkshire Edge Chief Storti wrote that a vehicle, driven by an 18-year-old student, was heading southbound and attempted to enter the entrance of the school.
The student pulled directly into the path of a van that was heading northbound.
The northbound vehicle t-boned the vehicle that was pulling into the high school, hitting the vehicle in the passenger’s side door.
A third vehicle that was waiting to exit the school was damaged when one of the two vehicles spun around and hit it.
A student involved in the accident suffered lacerations to the forehead area and was transported to Fairview Hospital.
No other injuries were reported and two of the vehicles involved in the accident were towed.
Chief Storti did not identify the people who were involved in the accident.
