Shopping Safety Tips – City of Boise

During the busy holiday shopping season, criminals are also “shopping.” Be sure to stay alert when rushing from store to store to keep yourself and your loved ones safe.
Boise Police urge shoppers to use the following safety tips, regardless of where you shop, to keep your holiday shopping trip a safe one.
If you know someone who enjoys gifts that are more on the practical side, give them the gift of safety this holiday season with one of these ideas:

  • Doorbell cameras
  • Car Safety Kit for emergencies
  • Window breaker tool
  • Carbon monoxide detector
  • Bike lock
  • Gun lock/gun safe
  • Flashlights and Fire extinguishers
  • Window scraper
