One man is dead and a child is injured after a car crashed into a tree in Sacramento just after midnight on Saturday, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

First responders pronounced a man dead at the scene, and they transported the child to the hospital for preliminarily non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
