COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – The public was asked to avoid a busy intersection in Colorado Springs Friday afternoon.
At about 1:15 p.m. the Colorado Springs Fire Department reported a crash in the area of Barnes Road and Powers Boulevard. At least one person was taken to the hospital.

The crash came at a time when the stoplights were not working at Powers and Galley due to a power outage farther to the south. The two intersections are about three miles away. Click here for an update on the power outage. The power outage was first reported at 9 a.m.
