An Owasso man was critically injured in a personal vehicle collision over the weekend.
The incident occurred around midnight on Saturday, Oct. 21, near West Oak Street and West Rogers Boulevard about 2 miles west of Skiatook in Osage County, according to the accident report.
It states that 30-year-old Jacob Payne was traveling westbound on a county road in a 2022 Subaru WRX at a high rate of speed when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign.
He departed the roadway to the right, striking a tree then continuing before striking a culvert and rolling two times.
Payne was transported to a local hospital and admitted in critical condition with head and trunk internal injuries, the report notes.
His passenger, 29-year-old Tyler Norton, of Kansas City, Missouri, was also transported to a hospital and admitted in fair condition with head, leg and trunk internal injuries.
