A 62-year-old Owensboro woman died in a three-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday morning at the intersection of East 18th Street and J.R. Miller Boulevard, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to OPD, the collision occurred at approximately 9:28 a.m. Sunday and multiple occupants were injured. The injured persons were transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment, where the driver of one of the vehicles died as a result of her injuries.
On Monday, the Daviess County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Susan Moxley. (Editor’s note: The original version of this story had the wrong age and first name for the victim due to incorrect information provided by the Owensboro Police Department.)
Members of the OPD Accident Reconstruction Team and the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Unit investigated the collision. The Owensboro Fire Department and AMR also responded to assist.
