TORREY, Utah (KUTV) — One person has died as a result of a two-vehicle crash.
Troopers with the Utah Highway Patrol reported the fatal crash happened Thursday on State Route 24 at milepost 119 in Torrey, Utah around 6:30 a.m.
Officials said that the crash involved a sedan and a small SUV.
They said a tan Buick LeSabre was traveling south on SR-24 when the Buick, for an unknown reason, crossed over the center line and struck an oncoming Hyundai Santa Fe.
The driver and passenger of the Santa Fe were transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition while the driver of the Buick died on scene.
Troopers advised drivers to use an alternate route as they planned to be in the area for several hours investigating the crash.
Troopers believed impairment was a possible contributing factor in the crash.
Additional details, including the identity of the driver killed, were not released.
