One injured in school bus, car accident on Monday in Petoskey – Petoskey News-Review

PETOSKEY — The driver of a passenger car was injured in a two-vehicle accident involving a school bus on Monday afternoon in Petoskey.
According to the Petoskey Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Eppler and Sheridan roads.
The school bus contained roughly 40 students. There were no serious injuries reported and no students were transported to the hospital. Johnson Buses dispatched a second bus to the scene in order to complete the route and take students home.
The driver of the passenger car was transported to McLaren Northern Michigan hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the Petoskey Department of Public Safety, the preliminary investigation shows the driver of the passenger car was using her cellular device while driving and disregarded a stop sign. The at-fault driver received a citation for the hazardous action.
