One dead, three injured in Spring Valley crash – KTNV 13 Action News Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said at least one person has died following the crash.
Police said a vehicle was going northbound on Lindell when the driver attempted to turn in front of traffic.
As that vehicle was turning, it clipped a car that was going westbound on Russell. The impact pushed both of them into a third vehicle. Investigators said the car lost control and then hit a pole. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of the other two vehicles as well as one passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said at this time, there doesn’t appear to be any signs of impairment.
“Multiple people” are injured Friday afternoon after a crash that shut down a Spring Valley intersection.
The intersection of west Russell Road and Lindell Road was shut down as of 3 p.m. Friday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced.
Metro police are investigating “a vehicle collision with critical injuries,” according to officials. Police did not immediately say how many cars were involved in the crash.
Officials say multiple people were transported to University Medical Center’s trauma center.
Members of the public were asked to avoid the area while police conduct their investigation into the crash.
Metro police did not immediately release additional details about the crash. This is a developing story.
