A Clinton man was killed on Saturday in a one-car crash in the town of Marshall, state police said.
Patrick Dougherty was driving a 2023 Hyundai pickup truck west on Shanley Road at a high rate of speed when his vehicle left the north shoulder of the roadway, struck a tree and overturned multiple times before striking a utility pole, police said.
Dougherty was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police in Marcy were assisted at the scene by the Paris Hill Fire Department and Edwards Ambulance Service.
The accident is still under investigation by the state police.
