Montgomery man avoids head-on collision, strikes tree instead – The Hillsdale Daily News

ALLEN TWP. — A Montgomery man narrowly avoided a head-on collision Friday, Aug. 4, when a vehicle swerved into his lane on South Allen Road in Allen Township. 
Hillsdale County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched just after 8 a.m. Aug. 4 to a report of a crash on South Allen Road near West Hallett Road in Allen Township. 
A preliminary investigation showed that Glen L. Pepper, 51, was driving northbound on South Allen Road when another vehicle entered his lane causing Pepper to avoid a head-on collision by swerving left, crossing the center line, entering a ditch and striking a tree.

Pepper was wearing his seatbelt and sought his own treatment for injuries sustained in the crash, police said. 
Hillsdale Towing, Reading Emergency Unit and the Allen Township Fire Department assisted on the scene.
