MILFORD, CT (WFSB) – Part of Interstate 95 north in Milford was closed Friday night because of a deadly motorcycle crash.
Police say the crash happened just south of Exit 39 A around 7:20 p.m.
The driver of a truck towing a trailer drifted into the left lane and pushed a motorcycle into the concrete jersey barrier. According to state police, the motorcycle and the rider were separated.
The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead on the scene. Police identified the rider as 33-year-old Victor Forbes from West Haven.
The driver of the truck, identified as 41-year-old Bilbraut Caraballo from Middlefield, failed a field sobriety test.
Caraballo was charged with failing to maintain lane and operating under the influence. He is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on October 12.
