There is disruption heading southbound this afternoon (October 2)
The M5 was blocked following a crash this afternoon (October 2). Motorists were urged to avoid the southbound carriageway following the collision.
It took place near to Frankley Services, south of Birmingham. It was first reported at 3.40pm.
West Mercia Operations and Communications Centre said on X – formerly known as Twitter: "The M5 southbound carriageway near to Frankley services is blocked due to an RTC (road traffic collision). Please avoid the area for now, thank you."
