Idaho State Police investigating two separate fatal car accidents Saturday – KMVT

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Idaho State Police troopers were kept busy Saturday, as there were multiple fatal crashes in Jerome County.
The first accident that ISP is investigating was a one-vehicle crash that occurred early Saturday morning at approximately 2:16AM, on Golf Course Road, east of Blue Lakes Grade, in Jerome County.
The report states that a 2005 Subaru Impreza driven by a 24-year-old male from Buhl was westbound on Golf Course Road at a high rate of speed. He lost control of the vehicle, which rolled several times. He was transported to a local hospital by air ambulance, he was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries.
His passenger, a 23-year old male from Jerome was wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Golf course road was closed for approximately four hours.
The second fatal accident happened roughly 12 hours later, at approximately 2:32PM Saturday afternoon, on westbound Interstate 84, near milepost 177, in Jerome County according to a release from the Idaho State Police.
A 2003 Honda Accord, driven by a 34-year-old male from Wendell was traveling westbound on the interstate. The vehicle went off the roadway and overturned; the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Both incidents remain under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
