I 90 accident today: I-39/90 shut down after multi-vehicle crash in Rock County near Janesville, Beloit – WLS-TV

A multi-vehicle crash on I-90 between Janesville and Beloit has shut down the roadway in both directions, officials say.
JANESVILLE, Wis. (WLS) — At multi-vehicle crash involving as many as 50 vehicles amid whiteout conditions near the Illinois-Wisconsin border has shut down the roadway Friday afternoon.
Beloit Memorial Hospital confirms they have received 27 patients from the crash, WISN reported.

The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. near mile marker 181.
Both directions of I-39/90 in between Janesville and Beloit were shut down for hours for investigation and clean up. They reopened Friday night.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area while first responders assist drivers, investigate the crash and work to clear the roadway.
