Fatal car crash closes portion of Martin Road – Northern News Now

UPDATE: One man is dead after a two-vehicle car crash on Martin Road in Duluth.
On Friday morning, a minivan was traveling east on Martin Road when it pulled onto the shoulder near the intersection of Woodland Avenue.
As the van made a U-turn to head west a flatbed truck traveling eastbound struck the van.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff, the van’s driver, Jason Larson of Duluth, 42, was seriously injured and transported to the hospital.
The van’s passenger, Paul Larson of Duluth, 78, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the flatbed truck was not injured in the crash.
The accident is under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
As of 12:16 PM, the road has reopened to traffic.
DULUTH, MN. (Northern News Now) – A fatal car crash in Duluth has resulted in a portion of Martin Road closing.
On Friday morning, a minivan and flatbed tow truck collided near 3747 Martin Road between Duluth and Rice Lake.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the crash resulted in one fatality.
Martin Road between Eagle Lake Road and Woodland Ave. is temporarily closed while crews respond to the scene.
No word on any other injuries or what caused the crash.
