Drunk CNY woman fights trooper, firefighters after car accident, troopers say – syracuse.com

Richland, N.Y. – A drunk driver fought with a police officer and two firefighters after her vehicle crashed into a ditch in Oswego County on Sunday evening, troopers said.
Crystal J. Woodworth, 45, of Pierrepont Manor, was driving on State Route 11 in Richland around 4:54 p.m. when her 2022 Jeep Compass struck a fire hydrant and a street sign and ended in the ditch, troopers said.
During sobriety tests, Woodworth struck a trooper in the face, troopers said. Two firefighters from the Ringgold Fire Department tried to help the trooper detain her, they said.
Troopers said Woodworth struck both firefighters and bit the officer in the left arm before they detained her.
Woodworth’s BAC level was 0.19 percent, more than two times over the legal limit of 0.08 percent, troopers said.

Woodworth was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Oswego County CAP Court on March 13.
