INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (WOIO) – Ohio State Highway Patrol has confirmed a 21-year-old Parma man died in an accident on the Valley View Bridge early Tuesday.

Troopers say they investigated the accident after the call came in at 2:39 a.m. regarding a one-car fatal crash.
A silver 2002 GMC Sierra was traveling westbound on the Valley View Bridge when it traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking the concrete bridge wall, officials say.
Police say Brian D. Percy Jr. then traveled off the right side of the roadway before striking a concrete jersey barrier.
Percy was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on scene, police say.
Traffic was down to one lane on the Valley View Bridge heading west.
