At least one person died in a three-car crash overnight in Cary.
CARY, N.C. (WTVD) — At least one person died in a three-car crash early Saturday morning in Cary.
Cary Police Department said it happened around 3:30 a.m. on US 1 near US 64.
Officers believe one of the drivers traveled the wrong way in the southbound lanes of US 1. As a result one driver was killed and two others were taken to the hospital.
Charity Ragland, 49, is identified as the driver who died in the crash.
A second driver remains in the hospital in critical condition.
The third driver was treated for minor injuries and released.
According to Cary police, alcohol is believed to be a factor and investigators are awaiting the results of toxicology reports.
This crash remains under investigation.
