WORCESTER, Mass. – It was a scary scene in Worcester Tuesday afternoon after a car crashed into a condominium on Halcyon Drive.
The Worcester Police Department’s reconstruction unit is investigating the crash. Officers treated the 24-year-old drive on scene, who was then taken to the hospital.
Diana Mwangi lives in the building and was home at the time of the crash. She said she’s glad her kids were at school, otherwise they may have been close to where the car hit.
"I was cooking in the kitchen and then all what I saw, I had shards, the window, I had the glass come flying," Mwangi said. "I happened to have been talking to my mom, I was talking to my mom in Africa and all what I told her, ‘mom, I’m dying.’"
No other injuries were reported, but the entire building was evacuated.
