One person has been killed and two injured following a collision in Brampton on Saturday morning.
Peel police said the two-vehicle collision happened near the intersection of Sandalwood Parkway and Hurontario Street at around 7 a.m.
Three young adults, two women and one man, were rushed to the hospital.
Police said one of the women was later pronounced dead. The other woman and the man are in serious, but non-life-threatening condition.
"There was a vehicle traveling northbound and a vehicle traveling southbound. So how they came to intersect is still to be determined," said Const. Tyler Bell-Morena, adding that it is unclear if the weather played a factor.
The intersection is closed while investigators are on scene. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area if possible.
