FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The three men who were killed in a multi-car crash in Merced County earlier this week have been identified.
On Friday, the Merced County Sheriff's Office identified the men as 42-year-old Jaime Romo Islas, 38-year-old Roberto Romo Islas and 31-year-old Francisco Javier Sandoval Rodriguez.
The crash happened on Tuesday along Highway 152 near Hilldale Avenue.
Investigators say 21-year-old Aaron Lam of Long Beach was traveling east when he lost control of his Mercedes, causing it to overturn and roll to the other side of the road.
His car landed on top of a Toyota Tacoma traveling west, killing the three men.
Lam suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Doctor's Hospital in Modesto.
A third car with two people was hit by the debris from both Lam's Mercedes and the Tacoma. Officers say they were not injured.
