PHOENIX — An 18-year-old man has died after his car struck a pole Friday morning near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road, police said.
The collision was reported at about 7:30 a.m. outside of a Domino’s in central Phoenix. When Phoenix police officers arrived at the scene, they found Dominic M. Linares suffering from serious injuries.
Linares was taken to the hospital and later passed away.
Police said preliminary information suggests that Linares was driving north on 19th Avenue when his car hit another vehicle turning left onto Indian School Road. The collision resulted in Linares’ car hitting the pole.
Investigators are still reviewing the collision, but don’t believe impairment was involved in causing the crash.
