1 Dead, Another Arrested Following Car Accident in Mio – WBKB 11 – WBKB-TV

One man is dead and another is facing charges after a car accident in Mio on Thursday.
According to the Oscoda County Sheriff’s Office, two 22-year-old men, one from Pierson and another from Westphalia were traveling together on Thompson road in Big Creek Township. The pickup truck they were driving went off of the roadway eventually hitting multiple trees and rolling over.
Upon arrival, first responders tried to save the life of the passenger but he would die from his injuries. Speed and alcohol are suspected to be a factor in the crash and the driver was later arrested.
No names have been released.
